Let your hunting dream come true and hunt the world's largest moose
11 days from $43,995
Alaskans moose, on average, produce trophies of between 60-65 inches. Even 70 inches is not unusual. Big palmated antlers with many points is normally what hunters are looking for. In September, the moose are in rut and are very active. The most effective methods of finding moose are scanning the district with binoculars and calling them up. From the main camp hunters fly out into the allies, where they stay in traditional Alaskan tented camps which offer the most modern equipment. From here you will hunt in the shadow of volcanoes, spectacular mountains and along great rivers. During the autumn the rivers are teeming with salmon.
The incredible beauty and richness of this hunting district leaves a lifelong impression on all hunters who are lucky enough to hunt here.
The hunt takes place on districts in the Alaskan peninsula, which includes the Alaska Peninsula Wildlife Refuge, and the Aniakchak National Preserve. These districts are part of the Aleutian mountain range, which is bordered bt the Pacific Ocean and the northern Gulf of Alaska to the east and the Bering Sea to the west.
After your arrival in Anchorage you will spend the night in a hotel. On day 2 you will take a domestic flight to King Salmon in the morning, before carrying on to the hunting district. This will take about an hour and a half and will take you to the main camp at Mechik. The hunting camp is far out in the wilderness, so don’t count on your telephone, wifi etc. functioning. In...
