The Lutowko state hunting is 18,000 ha. in size, of which 9,000 ha. is forest, and the remaining 9,000 ha. is mainly farmland, with some meadow, lakes and wetland. The forest is largely coniferous (60%), but there are also area of oak, birch and other broad leafed trees. The district is largely flat. Lutowko has 35 high seats/stands together with 22 feeding places. It is also possible to carry out an exciting hunt from a horse drawn carriage, as long as it is booked in advance. A maximum of 5 hunters can be taken at a time for individual hunts, but the optimal number is 3-4. Driven hunts can be arranged for groups of min. 12 hunters.
The district offers hunting for roe deer, red deer, fallow deer and wild boar. Annually 38 roe buck are taken here. The trophy size for most of these bucks is under 300g, but bucks of over 300g are also shot regularly, as well as a few over 400g. There is an annual quota of 40 red stags - the majority of which have a trophy weight of between 5 to 6 kg, but Lutowko also produces a number stags of over 7kg - and even a few over 8kg. The population of fallow deer is expanding rapidly, and annually 25 fallow buck are taken here, usually producing handsome trophies of up to 3 kg, a few slightly larger. Lutowko has a dense population of wild boar, and you can hunt these on individual hunts throughout the season as well as on the 4 annual driven hunts, which usually give very good results.
Lutowko is 220km from the border crossing at Kolbaskowo south of Szczecin, 70 km from Bydgoszcz and 50km from Pila which is the closest large town.The closest international airport is Poznan which is 145km away, while the distance from Gdansk is 180km.
