Scientific Name: Capra cylindricornis

Distribution: Central and eastern chain of the Caucasian mountains.
Habitat: High altitude pastures above the tree line in summer, lower in winter.
Description: Wild goat weighing up to 100 kg and measuring up to 1 meter over the shoulder. It reaches a total body length of 1,40 m without tail (15 cm). General colour rufous grey-brown. The horns are heavy, pointing upwards, then bending backwards and inwards, growing in spirals. The horns are similar to those of the Blue Sheep.
Hunting method: Stalking, on horseback.
