Scientific Name: Gazella thomsoni
Subspecies: Gazella th. albonotata
Distribution: Northern Tanzania and Kenya.
Habitat: Grasslands and open plains, avoiding dense bush and long grass.
Description: Small gazelle with a shoulder height of 70 cm and a weight of 20 - 30 kg. General colour deep sandy fawn, broad and sharply defined black lateral band in direct contrast with white underparts. The horns are slightly divergent, evenly and strongly curved backwards, with tips recurved upwards.
