Scientific name: Streptopelia semitorquata
Distribution: It is widespread over much of sub-saharan Africa
Habitat: It has become adapted to urban areas where it lives in park and garden trees. Hunting takes place on large fields within a radius of 3 -8 km fro large towns.
Description: It has a grey/pink body with orange/red eyes and has a ring of bare skin around the eye. The back, wings and tail are light brown in coloured the face is light grey. Its small size and fast flight make it very exciting to hunt.
