Distribution: The foothills of the Himalaya, from Nepal to Assam, Sikkim and Bhutan.
Habitat: Limited to high grass savanna.
Description: Very small pig weighing up to 10 kg and measuring up to 28 cm over the shoulder. It may reach a total body length of 70 cm without tail (5 cm). General colour grey to rufous brown/black.
