Scientific Name: Vulpes pallida
Subspecies: A total of 5 subspecies have been described, but due to unclear classification, we do not describe them here.
Distribution: Deserts on the Arabian Peninsula.
Habitat: Sandy or rocky desert steppe, semi-desert or desert, digs tunnels under the sand, up to 15 m. long, often close to habitation.
Description: Slightly smaller than the Red Fox, the Pale Fox weighs up to 4 kg. It measures up to 35 cm over the shoulder and reaches a total body length of 45 cm, without tail (30 cm). General color pale rufous brown to fawn. Ears larger than Red Fox and it is more slenderly built and has longer legs.
Hunting method: With dogs, traps.
