Scientific Name: Oryx g callotis
Subspecies: Fringe-eared Oryx is a subspecies of commmon Oryx (Oryx gazella)
Distribution: The Northern part of Tanzania and the Southern part of Kenya.
Habitat: Dry open bush and short grass savanna
Description: Large antilope (180-200kg) with a compact body. The colour is grey-fawn with a well defined pattern on head and body so typical of the Oryx antelopes, and its ears bear a very distinctive tuft of long black hairs. The horns are heavier than those of Beisa Oryx.
