Distribution: Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Kampuchea, Malaysia, Borneo with the Balabak Islands, Sumatra and bordering islands.
Habitat: Dense jungle, near rivers and streams.
Description: Slightly larger than the Spotted Mouse Deer, weighing up to 6 kg and measuring up to 40 cm over the shoulder. It may reach a total body length of 70 cm.
Hunting method: The locals use nets and dogs.
