Our own man in Hungary, Attila, has secured an agreement with a fantastic hunting ground in eastern Hungary, where the habitat ensures an outstanding population of roe deer, pheasants, and hares. In the autumn, they arrange action-packed walk-up hunts for small game. Hunters can expect a daily bag of 15-20 pieces of game per hunter.

We have established a partnership with one of our trusted, long-standing hunting grounds (known for strong roebucks) out on the Hungarian puszta near the thermal spa town of Gyula. This hunting ground also hosts many traditional small game hunts, and we have secured spots for several groups of 4-6 hunters throughout the autumn. The area boasts an incredible population of roe deer, pheasants, and hares, guaranteeing plenty of action and a daily bag of 15-20 small game per hunter.
The grounds are located about a 2.5-hour drive from Budapest airport, and we highly recommend renting a car, so you can drive from the hotel to the grounds, which can be 20-30 km away. Alternatively, our local man in Hungary can pick you up at the airport, and you can pay directly for both this service and transport to/from the grounds in the hunting guides' vehicles. However, with your own car, you’ll also have the chance to visit the famous thermal baths in Gyula, buy their world-famous sausages/kolbász, and Attila can also arrange visits to local paprika producers where you can purchase fresh paprika in various strengths!
Hunting season: October 1st to January 31st.
ACCOMMODATION:
We’re out in the Hungarian countryside, where there are several charming inns and guesthouses. However, to meet most of our hunters' expectations for lodging, Attila recommends a beautifully situated hotel, about a 20-minute drive from the hunting grounds. Here, hunters can relax and enjoy good food in stunning natural surroundings.
The areas of between 4,000 – 11,000 ha are located approx. 2.5 hours drive from Budapest airport, in eastern Hungary up to the border with Romania. The terrain is fairly flat and is predominantly used for agriculture. However, these agricultural areas are regularly interrupted by small forests, sheds, meadows and rivers, making the landscape fertile and rich in game.
